Position Description:

The person will work closely with the residential solar sales representatives. Also they will work with commercial sales representatives. Much of their work is from remote locations.

This person must be able to understand and contribute to changing workflows. Quick and effective identification of and response to high-priority issues quick and effectively required. Must be an enthusiastic self-starter who can work well with others, under minimal supervision after adequate training and guidance have been provided.

Responsibilities include collaboration on creation of proposals, preliminary qualification of inbound leads, introducing prospects to project developers, and supporting efficient sales pipeline development. Additionally the role extends to support for the marketing team with conference attendance, membership associations and sponsored customer events.

Responsibilities:

• Quickly gain proficiency with information technology tools and contribute to generation and processing of sales proposals
• Assist residential solar sales representatives with sales pipeline.

• Update records in Salesforce with information generated in the proposal process.
• Pre-screen leads for viability, then assign them to a residential solar sales representative or commercial solar project developer.
• Work from Berkeley office three to five days a week
• Respond to inbound leads within 24 hours.
• Handle the details of external events including conference attendance.

• Order SLP branded material for events and newcomers to SLP.
• Maintain an inventory of branded material on site.
• Proactively request assistance and additional information when needed.
• Collaborate with the Residential Solar Operations team to assist with project scheduling, customer communication and other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
• Ability to learn and use software solutions including Salesforce, Energy Toolbase, Helioscope, survey data and solar estimating software.
• Strong customer service background.

• Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-up.

Compensation:

$28-$35/hour, DOE
